Mr Radcliffe’s Welcome

Associate Principal’s Welcome

Dear Parent / Guardian,

I am writing to you today by way of a brief introduction. I have been asked to support the school in the role as Associate Principal until the Board of Governors appoint a new principal for Gracehill Primary School. For those who don’t know me, I recently retired from Harpur’s Hill PS, Coleraine, where I was the principal for 23 years and I live in Ballybogey, just down the road on the way to Portrush! I’m also easily recognised as I have one leg and will normally be in a wheelchair.

I will be in school three days each week, usually a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, although this is flexible and will depend on the needs of the school and my own outside commitments. Mrs Rowe, who should be commended for the work she does for the school, will be the point of contact on Tuesday and Friday. I am really looking forward to getting to know your children and indeed yourselves. Do take the opportunity to speak with me in the mornings or afternoons and if you have any worries or concerns regarding the school and/or your child, please make an appointment to see me, so that we can address this as quickly as possible. My door is always open.

If you are new to the area or haven’t been in the school, then I would warmly invite you to visit the school and speak to me at a mutually agreeable date and time. No website can convey the warm, nurturing, happy, atmosphere of Gracehill Primary School.  So please come and see for yourselves.

Mr D Radcliffe
