Wednesday

6:30pm

We’ve just had dinner and are about to go down to the lake for a game of rounders before tuck this evening. We’ve had a great day with no rain in sight thankfully! We arrived this morning safely, settled into our rooms and explored the castle before lunch. The children then had some free time after lunch to play football, read with a view and have fun in the castle grounds. The P7s then had an enjoyable walk around the beautiful Castlewellan Lake before dinner.

All is well and the forecast looks promising for tomorrow’s outdoor activities. Talk to you tomorrow evening!

Thursday

6:30pm after dinner update.

The children are enjoying some free time after a busy day. It has been a beautifully sunny day here in Castlewellan and the children are having some down time before another action packed (and sugar-fuelled) evening.

This morning we met our outdoor activity instructors and split into two groups. Mrs Cousley and Mrs Henry’s group were the first to get onto the water and canoed the length of the lake whilst Mr McClelland, Mr McBurney and Mrs Marshall enjoyed dry land as the children did some archery, laser tag and catapult-making. After lunch the groups swapped activities and loved experiencing something different.

Our evening schedule looks like an infamous Mrs Henry quiz, toasting s’mores, tuck shop and group games before bed.
